Projects.
I design responsive web sites & mobile applications. I Also turn those designs into beautiful semantic HTML/CSS/JS templates.
This site
My own site is built using the so called Mobile First technique and progressive enhancement, which make it accessible to a wide range of users. Currently it supports screen resolutions between 230–3000 pixels.
I did the identity, copywriting, design and development for the site. During the first 3 years this site was visited by over 3 million users who have generated 5.7 million pageviews.
Asko Salminen
This is a site which I built for my father. He’s an artist who does modern sculptures and conceptual art, often combined with strong B&W photography.
I also wrote a blog post about a method which I used while developing this site, it’s here if you want to read it. You can also check out the actual site if you want to see this layout in action.
Responsive Nav
Responsive Nav is a JavaScript plugin that hides navigation on small screen behind a toggle. It’s built without library dependencies and with fast touch screen support.
I did the identity, design and development for the site as well as the JavaScript plugin itself.
Kisko Labs
I joined Kisko Labs on April 2011 and one of my very first assignments were the new identity and website design. I also wrote a short blog post about this process called “making kiskolabs.com responsive”.
After the launch of the new site it has been visited by over 90 000 visitors in a couple of months. Our site has also been showcased on multiple web design galleries.

Tehy
Tehy, the Finnish trade union, represents qualified health care professionals, social workers and students of these professions in Finland. Tehy is the largest union in these fields and has over 150,000 members.
I did the design and front-end development for the site in 2009 while I was working at Avoine.

Save the children
Save the Children Finland is a national organization founded in 1922, which fights for children’s rights in order to immediately and permanently improve children’s lives in Finland and all over the world.
I did the design and front-end development for the site in 2009 while I was working at Avoine.
